OralB kids electric toothbrush (6+)

OralB kids electric toothbrush (6+)

The difference between Oral B kids brushes 3+ versus 6+ age is that the 6+ includes pulsations, which makes them clean via non-contact (like a sonic brush) by pulsing fluid between the teeth. The primary mode of cleaning is by rotation/oscillation, but the best clean happens with pulsations also. Basically, you still need to use the 3+ brush like a manual toothbrush (scrubbing in circular motions) versus the 6+ which allows the brush to do the work (you just run the brush along the teeth like you do an adult brush). The 6+ brush provides a superior clean and just like the 3+ allows for app connectivity, so if your child will tolerate it (even if under age 6, so long as they don’t chew on the brush head) this is the best brush to go with. If they won’t tolerate the vibrations, I prefer a manual brush like colgate hum that still offers app connectivity for motivation/education purposes.

If your child is aged 6-7 and beginning to brush on their own, still check in frequently with disclosing tablets to be sure that a child is brushing thoroughly when brushing solo (not until age 7ish when he can tie his shoes independently, until then – supervision is recommended because their dexterity is insufficient).

**THIS IS ALSO MY GO-TO UNDER $100 BRUSH FOR ADULTS – works great for you, too, and has all the basics you need – a pressure sensor, 2 minute timer, a daily clean and sensitive mode, and enough power to give a non-contact (sonic) clean. The only down side is it is LOUD.
