**Comparable to Oxyfresh Fresh Breath which contains sodium chlorite, zinc acetate, essential oils (Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Lime, Spearmint), xylitol, and aloe. Oxyfresh Pro is also similar but its oil is peppermint oil. The two are less minty than this Therabreath PLUS.

Sodium chlorite (chlorine dioxide) and zinc gluconate in Therabreath PLUS disrupt volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) which are the smelly molecules produced by many oral bacteria that result in bad breath odors.

The essential oils (tea tree, menthol) are antimicrobial, although perhaps not as effective as cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) found in BreathRx. If sensitive to CPC and you experience staining, and/or your bad breath isn’t controlled via the zinc compound in BreathRx, this may be a good alternative. Note that BreathRx also contained several essential oils: mint, thymol, and eucalyptus.

Therabreath PLUS also contains aloe to reduce irritation.  And xylitol as sweetener and dental benefits.
